    With a 180° uniform field magnetic spectrometer, the following values for nuclear reaction energies have been obtained: 10B (dp) 11B, Q = 9·227 MeV; 10B () 8Be, Q = 17·829 MeV; 11B () 9Be, Q = 8·029 MeV; 11B () 9Be*, Q = 5·598 MeV; 12C (dp) 13C, Q = 2·720 MeV. From the 11B () 9Be and 11B () 9Be* reactions the energy of the first excited level in 9Be has been found to be 2·431 ± 0·006 MeV. A comparison with other results of comparable accuracy is given.
