<p>Non-destructive three-dimensional imaging of a fixed human lung tissue biopsy was captured using an X-ray micro-Computed Tomography (μCT) system optimised for soft tissues (3D render in grey). The μCT images were registered with immunofluorescence sections taken from the same lung tissue and used to semi-automatically identify and segment the blood vessels (red) and the airway epithelium (blue). <a href="https://doi.org/10.1098/rsos.211067">https://doi.org/10.1098/rsos.211067</a>.</p>
